Welcome to the Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Affairs
As a member of the Provost’s management team, the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Affairs (VPUA) and his staff oversee and coordinate a variety of programs and activities that affect the UIC undergraduate experience, well-being, and academic success. The Office of the VPUA collaborates with a broad range of campus units including the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, the eight undergraduate-serving colleges, departments, faculty, and others in planning and implementing programs that enhance the academic life of the student and that lead to graduation and overall success. The VPUA office has responsibility for the administration of the Office of Study Abroad, Army ROTC, UIC Summer College, Special Scholarships, campus-wide undergraduate research programs, select advising resources, and implementation of the UIC Strategic Plan for Increasing Undergraduate Success.
The VPUA office also engages with external entities such as other universities and school systems on matters of mutual interest.
